What to expect

Three quiet moves.

You won't be asked to perform calm or come in with a goal. We'll meet you where you actually are.

Settle

A brief check-in, a few intentional breaths, and you settle on the table fully clothed. Lights low, room warm, no rush.

ii.

Receive

Light, intentional touch (or hands-just-above) along a calm sequence — head, shoulders, heart, hips, feet. Breath cues only if you want them.

iii.

Return

A few minutes to come back slowly, water if you want it, a short note about what shifted, and a take-home breath you can use anywhere.

Common questions

Before your first visit.

Do I have to believe in Reiki for it to work?
No. The most reliable thing about a session is the slowing down — the warm, quiet room, the unhurried hour, the permission to stop performing. Many clients show up curious or skeptical and leave noticeably softer.
What do I wear, and will I be touched?
Stay fully clothed in something comfortable. Touch is light and optional — head, shoulders, hands, feet — and we agree on it before the session. You can also choose hands-just-above, no contact.
What does a session feel like?
Most clients describe a slow softening: heavy limbs, slower breath, a sense of "finally, I can stop." Some feel warmth, mild tingling, or emotion surfacing. Some feel quiet. All of it is welcome.
Is this medical care or therapy?
No. Reiki and breathwork are complementary practices that support rest and nervous-system regulation. They are not a substitute for medical or mental-health care. If something serious is going on, please also see your doctor or therapist.
Can I bring a friend or partner?
Sessions are one-on-one so the room stays quiet, but partner-pack pricing is available and packs are transferable. If you want to gift a session, contact me directly.
Where are sessions held?
In the studio at 5700 W Grace Street, Suite 109, Richmond, VA 23226 — in the Carytown / Museum District area, with easy parking out front.
Cancellation and rescheduling?
No fee with 24 hours' notice. Inside 24 hours, half the session value is held; same-day cancellations are charged in full unless we can re-fill the slot.
